Just Peace activities Union Station - The first Monday of every month, we prepare and serve dinner at Union Station Shelter for the Homeless. Families are also housed in our church building. Hunger - We support the UCC Hunger Action Network, the CROP Walk, and Friends in Deed Food Pantry. Friends in Deed is affiliated with the Ecumenical Council of Pasadena Area Churches. Legislation - We respond to calls for action from our National UCC Justice and Peace Ministry by writing or calling our State and National Representatives. Open and Affirming - We voted in 1992 to openly affirm and include persons who are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered and invite full participation in our church life. Please feel free to visit the FCC Lambda Group website for more information. AIDS Awareness - In the past, we participated annually in the Pasadena Posada, both as hosts of an entertainment venue for the event and by raising funds. The Posada was formerly the major annual fund-raising event for the AIDS Service Center, which originally began as a ministry of All Saints Episcopal Church. Women's Spirituality - We advocate for women's issues, inclusive language and theology, have Women's Sunday and a monthly women's group. Education - There are regular Mission Moments during the Sunday worship service, articles in the church newsletter, and discussion forums on current issues. We participate in UCC Just Peace Sunday. Community Organizing - We participate in the Muir High School organization project to improve education in the Pasadena schools.
