Hi,  I made it safely to Uganda.  We arrived at Entebbe before dawn and are now in the capital city of Kampala.  Yes, another internet cafe.  Boy, the world is getting smaller.

Naturally, it is very humid compared to L.A.  The busy morning commute had started as we drove in and the air is filled with the old leaded gas fumes I remember from the 1960's.  Our plan is to buy some supplies here, then start the 5 hire drive up to Lira.  We will cross a bridge over the Nile River (the Nile starts its journey to Egypt here in Uganda).  Our leader Ken has debriefed us and we will begin work tomorrow.  He also said there are 3 internet cafes in Lira, so I'll be able to update from there.  Don't worry, I will not overwhelm your inbox once I'm settled in the hotel in Lira.
