April 25, 2005

Hello from Jolly Old England,
Just a note to let you know that I arrived safely in London.  I have a 4 hour layover at Heathrow, then on to Entebbe Airport & Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.  I arrive at 5:40am Uganda time on 4/27 (not 5/27 as my previous email stated).  As my cousin Matthew pointed out, I do not have a one month layover in London  ;-)~.

Once in Kampala, we'll set up a bank account for our funds usage, then a 4 to 5 hour bus ride north to Lira.  Our leader, Ken, arrived in Uganda last week and let us know that he has been well received in the camps and has already begun building stoves.  In fact, being the inventor he is, he is improving his stove design as he goes.  He'll travel back & meet us at the airport, then off we'll go.

Not sure what the internet availability is there, so thought I'd email you now.
Pip Pip & Cheerio,

-Chuck-
