First Congregational Church of Pasadena, UCC Pasadena Area Women's Scholarship is available annually in the amount of $5000 or more for persons who identify as female and who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll by fall 2025 in a college or trade/technical school. We have awarded 43 scholarships since 2016 and this will be our 10th year anniversary of awarding scholarships! Our selection process is guided by our Core Values of: Nurturing Spirituality, Extravagant Welcome and Social Justice. We also work to serve the marginalized and educationally underserved in the greater Pasadena area. These values and vision will continue to guide our selection process. In addition, we will award at least one scholarship to a woman whose life has been impacted by the Eaton Fire.
TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF SUPPORTING WOMEN! In 2025 We honored seven women and also celebrated our 10th Anniversary by raising an additional $10,000, which allowed us to give $5000 to each woman. Their names are inscribed on the plaque which hangs in the hallways outside our church office. To date we have awarded $161,750.00 and offered financial support to 54 local women.
