Our interim minister
The Rev. Dr. Sandy Tice has been called as our “Interim” (Transitional) Minister as we search for a new “Installed” Minister. We have welcomed her with open arms. Here are a few things about Rev. Sandy in her own words:
“I am a Presbyterian pastor. The PCUSA and the UCC are in full communion, (meaning we can call a pastor from one branch of the family tree to serve in another). I am married to a Presbyterian pastor named Tom Rennard. He and I live in a cottage at Monte Vista Grove with our 25 lb. dog Charlie.
“Our daughter, Bethany, a graphic designer, lives in Brooklyn. I have an M.Div degree, a D.Min, a Diploma in the Art of Spiritual Direction, and I am a certified Forest Guide! I like to bake bread, I am a weaver, and I speak a tiny bit of Japanese because I was a summer exchange student in high school.
“A priority in the coming year will be to come to know you, to listen to your stories and your longings, and to try to hold up a mirror to help you listen for God’s invitation. I will help the congregation prepare an official Profile of the church and be an advisor to the Permanent Minister Search Committee, once it is constituted.”

CARLY WENDT - ACTING HOSPITALITY AND EVENTS COORDINATOR
Carly Wendt is our new Acting Hospitality and Events Coordinator! She is multi-talented and, in her own words, describes her busy life: “Besides working here at FCCUCC, I am a mom of two amazing kiddos, wife to my kindergarten sweetheart, and a cake decorator. I studied studio arts (specifically oil painting) in college, started a handmade greeting card business in my twenties, worked for a boutique business making high-end handmade wedding photo albums, worked at a screen print shop and a bakery. Safe to say, I like decorating pretty much anything and working with my hands! I love reading, tent camping, wandering through farmers markets, traveling, and playing board games with my family. I also love corny jokes, it's my weakness!” Welcome Carly!!!
Anne Cohen - acting office associate
Anne Cohen has been a member of FCCUCC since 1969. She is a retired UCC minister and has done a number of office jobs over her lifetime. She is currently filling the role of Acting Office Associate as our church goes through a transition to a new Installed Minister. Once that person is in place, we will hire a “Permanent” Office Associate.
